Getting Started

Reach out for a free 15-minute consultation

If you’re interested in working with me, please reach out using this form. I will reply in the next 24 hours to set up a phone meeting. During the call, I’ll ask about what brings you to therapy, and you can ask any questions you have about my practice. If it seems like a good fit, we can schedule an intake session. If not, I can suggest other services or providers.

What to expect

We’ll start with a detailed 90-minute intake so I can learn about you and what brings you to therapy. I’ll send you forms and questionnaires before we meet so we can hit the ground running.

From there, we’ll identify treatment goals and develop an initial treatment plan together. Treatment plans mainly involve individual therapy, but can also involve meetings that include family members and consultation with other medical providers. Therapy sessions typically last 45-50 minutes. Each session will involve learning and applying new skills tailored to your needs. I’ll ask you to complete activities outside of therapy sessions to practice and reinforce skills. We will monitor progress to determine if goals are being met, and I will seek your feedback. Treatment length will vary depending on specific needs, and treatment plans may evolve over time. Typically, initial treatment goals are met within 3-6 months, although shorter or longer treatment is not uncommon.

For milder tinnitus distress, I offer a shorter intake followed by a single psychoeducational session, which provides the knowledge base for a self-guided treatment plan. We develop the plan together in-session, and I preserve it for you in a document with links to publicly available videos. Additional skills training sessions are available as needed.

Insurance

I’m not in-network for any insurance company but will provide documentation for clients to submit to insurance for reimbursement for out-of-network behavioral health services. This is generated as a monthly “Superbill.”

You can contact your insurer to ask about your out-of-network benefits for services with a licensed psychologist. Important questions to ask include:

  • What are my out-of-network benefits for behavioral health?

  • What is my deductible? After I meet my deductible, what percentage of the visit cost will I be reimbursed for?

  • How many therapy sessions are covered?

Cancellation

I require a 24-hour cancellation. Sessions canceled within 24 hours are subject to a cancelation fee of the hourly rate.

Payment Method

Payment is due at the time of service. I accept payment from credit/debit cards. I also accept payment from health savings accounts.
